The Sturgeon County Bounty (SCB) is an economic development initiative aimed at connecting with local producers and agriculture based businesses, and promoting their products to consumers and other markets. The SCB's flagship event is the CULINARY COOKOUT, happening Friday August 9 from 4-9pm at Cardiff Park!
The Culinary Cookout is as much about community and togetherness as it is about fresh local products. Our producers live in the county, and many of them have called Sturgeon County home for generations. Not only are they proud to promote what they have to offer, but proud to promote and support where they live. By participating in the Culinary Cookout, our businesses and residents are supporting and celebrating their community and excited to welcome visitors.
Cardiff park will come alive on Friday August 9, 2019 as hundreds of visitors join us to watch live, local entertainment on our stage, taste delicious food from top food vendors that feature Sturgeon County produce and proteins, play in our kids zone or participate in our Kids Cooking Workshop! Cardiff Park is the perfect venue for our Cookout. The park is beautiful, spacious and in close proximity to St. Albert and Edmonton and well known to all county residents.
This year, the County’s Agriculture Service Board Tour will be joining us! Participants can tour Sturgeon County in the morning and visit a variety of farms and agriculture businesses. In the afternoon they will arrive at the Culinary Cookout to join in the fun and sample delicious local food.
2019 will mark the Culinary Cookout’s fifth year, following an extremely successful Centennial event in 2018. Last year, more than 1700 residents and visitors come out to Cardiff Park, we can't wait to see what this year has in store!
