St. Albert Chamber of Commerce Lynda Moffat is a resident of Sturgeon County, having moved to Cardiff in 2010.
Lynda has been very active and involved with her communities for many years. She was Chair of the Task Force on Villeneuve Airport, Chair of the Task Force on Youth Vandalism, President of the Alberta Chamber Executives, President of the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada, President of the Rotary Club of St. Albert, Director of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, President of the Northwest Chamber Leaders, City Councillor in St. Albert for one term, and President and CEO of the St. Albert and District Chamber of Commerce for over 12 years. She currently sits on the Sturgeon County Economic Development Committee, and the Government Affairs Committee in St. Albert.
Lynda was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Anniversary Medal in recognition of her community service. She was also awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship by the Rotary Club of St. Albert following her year as Club President.
Lynda has a great passion for supporting her communities, and particularly the business communities. She has actively participated in preparing both Provincial and Federal policy resolutions for submission and debate. She is a strong and effective advocate for business locally, provincially and Canada-wide. Her ability to work closely with both elected officials and government employees, has brought significant results. Her success in achieving positive results comes from a dedication and passion for her work.
Lynda is married to her husband Leo, and both are recently retired. They have 3 children and 5 Grandchildren, all living close to St. Albert.
