Economic Development Advisory Board
Chief Business Officer /Partner
Pleasant Homes I am married to my beautiful wife Julie and I have one son named Joshua. We are all deeply connected to our community and believe in giving others a hand up.
I came to Canada with my family in 1971 and went back to Europe in 1979 for two years to travel and meet the needs of those in less hospitable situations.
As an entrepreneur and business person I joined Pleasant Homes Ltd as a Business partner back in 2003 in Spruce Grove and then moved the business to Sturgeon County in 2006.
When I’m not working, you will find me involved within the greater community be it in the local region or in the far reaching corners of the world.
I joined the Morinville and District Chamber of Commerce as a director in 2008 and three years later I was voted in as the President of the Morinville and District Chamber of Commerce. President of the MDCC from 2012 - 2017.
2015 to current ; Board member with the Modular Housing Association of Prairie Provinces and have sat on the board as a director for the last two years and again have been voted in by the membership for the next two years. In the past two years I have served as a member of the Safety committee and as the Chair of Membership.
I have sat as the President of the local Morinville Rotary club in 2016 and have also been involved in their efforts of having sanitary water and cooking facilities in Nicaragua.
As a family we have been involved with Children’s Aid international, Flying Doctors of Canada and other organization, working in 3rd world countries to give a hand to those in need. We have a strong pull towards those that need a hand up be it the Romanian orphan crisis, the Aids epidemic of South Africa or working with girls in the Ukraine. This also includes our inner city as I am an Ambassador for the Boyle Street Co-op and we are strongly involved with our local church.
As I have sat under a palm trees or local restaurants talking to community representatives within diverse communities about their concerns, I found they are not that different from our economic issues in this area. As a Philanthropist I do not sit still for long as we only have so many years to make a difference. I believe that making a difference starts at home and caries out to the greater community.
